Welcome all to The Setlist!

This week is packed with events that range from wild festivals to pre-pride parade events featuring garage punk and even some country-inspired acts. But before we jump into this week’s agenda, we want to thank EVERYONE who came to our very first official La La Lista event last Saturday: The Halloween House Party. We’re still recovering from such an amazing night and we are immensely grateful to everyone who delighted us with their supremely creative costumes.

Having said that, the spooky season is over, but The Setlist certainly isn’t. So let’s get into the nitty-gritty, shall we?

By the way, don’t forget! We’ve got an events calendar. If you have an event you’d like to promote, just fill out the form here and we’ll have it live on the site within 24 hours. If you’d like to be featured in next week’s Setlist, please submit your event by the Monday previous to your event to be considered.

THURSDAY 3

David Amado + Brian & Camilo at Morán

We’re kicking off with a blockbuster of a show. With the promise of being a Tarantino-esque sonic escapade, singer-songwriter David Amado will be presenting some new songs with his full band. Folk-rock duo Brian & Camilo will be at the gig too, playing some of their country-like tunes to give it that twangy twist.

Make sure to get your tickets for this show at Morán before they run out. Hit the link here to grab ‘em.

9 pm | $1000 | Morán | Pedro Morán 2147

FRIDAY 4

Diente de Madera presents “Sand” at Roseti

With a sound that marries the feel-good vibes of banjo-based country music and the drawn-out drones of bands such as Swans, Diente de Madera presents his EP titled Sand at Roseti this Friday. The 4-song EP will be played in its entirety and personally, we can’t wait to hear the ultra-atmospheric “Blood Red Rosesbeing performed live.

You can score your tickets to this once-in-a-lifetime performance here. Do it before I continue using compound adjectives!

8:30 pm | $800 + $96 service charge | Roseti | Gallo 760

MUGRE at Preludio Festival Morán

As a prelude to the pride parade in Buenos Aires, Festival Preludio will feature loads of artistic performances ranging from theatre, all the way to short films and music. On that last note (no pun intended) one of our favorite garage punk bands, MUGRE, will be playing some of their bratty and infectiously rowdy tunes. Best part? It’s completely FREE!

Go grab some glitter, throw on a pair of Doc Martens, and shake your butt at the dancefloor of Morán this Friday.

8 pm | FREE | Morán | Pedro Morán 2147

Mey + Lolita Fiamma + Corsario at Camping BA

Emblematic figures of the R&B-tinged world of underground pop will be playing sets at one of our favorite venues in the city. Mey with her minimalist grooves, Lolita Fiamma with her soulful and sultry voice, and the Corsario pop duo will be playing some catchy bangers in an open-space venue in the heart of Capital Federal

You can purchase your tickets by following our link right here! Get them before they run out.

8 pm | $1320 | Camping BA | Av. del Libertador 999

SATURDAY 5

BPM 2022 Festival

If you’ve been in the scene long enough, then you’re surely familiar with BPM Discos, a record label that houses artists such as Penny Peligro and Excursionistas. Well, this time they are doing something truly spectacular. They’ve got together absolutely ALL the bands who are signed to their label and organized a festival where they’ll be playing. And the craziest thing is that the whole shebang will be FREE.

You do need to get your reservations here, cause the gig will be packed.

7 pm | FREE | Strummer Bar | Godoy Cruz 1631

SUNDAY 6

Ciclo Mute: 1st Edition

Described as an audiovisual poem of aesthetically and sonically outrageous music, Ciclo Mute arrives in the scene as a ciclo that features different anonymous and self-convened artists to play music over a silent film and create a sort of soundtrack around it. They’ll kick off this debut edition with the film The Phantom Carriage

This mysterious new festival is bound to be an interesting experiment and we can’t wait to see it unfold.

7 pm | $300 | El Portal | Lavalle 3073
