After the wildly hot weather we’ve been having lately, it was nice to have a bit of a respite but things will be heating up again and we’re going to be cranking up the volume this weekend.

Marcha del Orgullo in BA this Saturday will surely be a massive event and you can show your support by joining the march Plaza de Mayo to Congreso.

However please make sure to take your masks and alcohol gel because despite restrictions being relaxed it’s important we take care of each other.

In addition to Pride there’ll be more events running across the week and weekend which you can check out below.

By the way, don’t forget! We’ve got an events calendar. If you have an event you’d like to promote, just fill out the form here and we’ll have it live on the site within 24 hours. If you’d like to be featured in next week’s Setlist, please submit your event by the Monday previous to your event to be considered.

THURSDAY 4

LAS SOMBRAS & LOS SIBERIANOS at Teatro Ópera

The ‘Las Sombras’ lads will be blessing La Plata with a performance alongside fellow pampeanos Los Siberianos at the somewhat legendary Platanese venue Teatro Ópera which is known for hosting top quality talents like these fellas.

‘Las Sombras’ have certainly been turning a lot of heads lately here and abroad with their unique brand of rock ‘Nacional’, the band released a fantastic film length theatrical feature titled ‘El precio de la canción’ in 2021 which even caught the attention of Rolling Stone.

The band has seen themselves transform progressively over their releases with elements of psychedelic rock becoming a prominent fixture of their sound alongside more soulful numbers.

Accompanying them on this journey to La Plata will be ‘Los Siberianos’ who hark back to flower power era rock with warm tones and flowing beats that produce super tranqui vibes alongside the filthy distorted guitar which creeps into play. It’s kaleidoscope music for the green-fingered goblins out there in the city.

Reservations are essential, book your spot here

6pm | From $1000 | Teatro Ópera | Calle 58 770, La Plata

Ciclo Infinito: Costas + Fervors at Espacio Cultural MOSCÚ

Ciclo infinito will be returning to the lovely wee hangout at Espacio Cultural Moscú.

Alt indie-pop Costas will be making an appearance off the back of their latest release ‘Cacao’ a super lush spacey tune that I’ve been massively digging lately. Led by Juanjo Bordenave the band explores varying textures with traditional pop structures to create a smooth wavy journey from start to end.

Meanwhile, Fervors will be making their first live appearance since March 2019 with new music to boot with their latest singles ‘Looking Glass’ & ‘Grey Age’. These tracks certainly see the band taking a more heavy step into post-punk with driving rhythms and I’m beyond excited to see these tracks in the flesh.

For tickets reach out to Ciclo infinito via instagram.

8pm | From $500 | Espacio Cultural MOSCÚ | Av. Córdoba 4335

FRIDAY 5

Fransia at Niceto Club

Fransia will be releasing her newest album ‘MUNDO VIRTUAL’ at Niceto Club. ‘MUNDO VIRTUAL’ is the second studio album by the electro-pop artist. Her style encapsulates a mix of nostalgic early 80’s pop mixed in with more modern RnB vocal intonation creating a really interesting dynamic.

On the new album, Fransia tackles themes such as fantasy, pain, mysteries, and love. Infectiously dancey and undeniably catchy is certainly Fransia’s aim.

Grab your tickets here.

8pm | $1000 | Niceto Club  | Av. Cnel. Niceto Vega 5510, CABA

SATURDAY 6

Un Muerto Más at Camping.

Un Muerto Más certainly has swagger with slick production to match, boasting collaborations with Lisandro Skar, Marki, and other hot new talents it’s no surprise that he’s ended up on the stage at Camping.

Guido Carmona hailing from Buenos Aires was a part of the group Paprika for over a decade, now he’s given new life to his solo project Un Muerto Más.

Showing a much more restrained vocal cadence and attitude, Carmona’s style is super chill and really envelops the production.
