Moveable Feasts is a weekly agenda in which we give you the low-down on this week’s food fairs, workshops, and pop-ups in Buenos Aires.

What’s up, babies, did you miss me? I know I did, especially with the agenda I’ve planned for you this week. As you all well know, International Women’s Day will be taking place this Sunday, but considering the many ways in which gender inequality still runs rampant today, “celebrate” is not the verb that first comes to mind. This is another day to remember there’s still a long way to go, to appreciate those who came before you to craft the path you now walk, and to stay hopeful in the knowledge that you’re fighting to create new spaces for the future generations. At La La Lista, we aim to add to that in any way, big or small, that we can – and today, that means a list of women led events, be it chefs, organizers, masterminds, artists, or whatever they’ve chosen to be. It should come as no surprise that crafting this list wasn’t particularly easy, and while we are *positive* that part of it has to do with gender inequality, we also know that there must be wonderful pop-ups, restaurants, events, ideas, etc. that we’re just not hearing about.

Where am I going with this? Here: tell us all about you! If you have a gastronomic endeavor that you think fits the bill of our culinary agenda, DM us on Instagram or send us an email at moveablefeasts@lalalista.com. We want to know you, meet you, and taste that *wonderful* food you can’t stop raving about!

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s do the thing we came to do:

Beba Cocina Takes Over Camping

Have you ever had the blessing of having Beba’s food placed in front of you at the Mercado de San Telmo? Well, yes, it is a bit far (at least for me), but I promise you it’s worth it… and because they’re generous like that, this time, you don’t even have to make the trek there. Meet them at Camping, right next to the Centro Cultural Recoleta. From March 1st to March 14th, get a taste of what you’ve missed (and if you plan it right, enjoy some of the live bands they’ve got booked) and vow to never miss it again.

All opening hours | Camping | Av. Pueyrredón 2501 | Recoleta

FRI 06.03

Feriamos xq Podemos: Gastronomic Pop Up at Batre

The gals from “Feriamos xq Podemos,” an amazing thrift shop business, are putting together a pop-up to dazzle your senses. Go support your local women entrepreneurs by eating your fill of Kun Cocina Oriental‘s dishes, and delight your senses with live painting by Nat.Uc and some wonderful theater for good measure!

18:30 hrs | Batre | Gurruchaga 1088 | Villa Crespo

SAT 07.03

Atelier Fuerza Takes Over Julia

Atelier Fuerza (and it’s delicious sourdough bread) will be taking over Julia for a brunch you won’t want to miss! If you’re into the most delicious bread you’ll ever try and amazing drinks courtesy of Ani Varela, join them for the ultimate weekend meal to start your Saturday off right.

11:00 hrs | Julia | Loyola 807 | Villa Crespo

Festival Apetito

Another weekend, another festival in Buenos Aires! Now, full disclosure: this is not an all-women festival, but you will get to meet a bunch of amazing lady chefs and their even more amazing dishes. In addition, this may be a great way to celebrate the wonderful, strong women in your life by getting together and spending the day eating your fill and laying in the sun.

12:00 hrs | Hipódromo de Palermo | Av. del Libertador 4101 | Palermo

SUN 08.03

#GOLFA at Microteatro

Have you ever spent an evening watching beautiful (albeit short) micro-plays? If not, this is your chance. Displaying a wonderful menu that you get to try between showings, Microteatro offers the ultimate #antidomingo plan to finish your weekend on a high note. I would love to tell you that this is an all-women event, but that is sadly not the case. However, I can tell you this: out of the six plays you are able to choose from, four of them are directed by women, with some of them also displaying an all female cast. Show your support for your fellow artists by going to see what the buzz is all about!

22:45 hrs | Microteatro | Serrano 1139 | Villa Crespo

Fide’s Pintate Algo at Rabieta

Fide’s back at Rabieta for another wonderful night filled with creativity! If you have yet to meet Fide, don’t wait any longer. With weeks filled with drab offices (or, if you’re lucky, a more enticing job – but most likely, still a job), getting those creative juices flowing by way of grabbing a few brushes and some paint is just the ticket to forget all about that impossibly boring assignment. Book your space to create with Fide and enjoy some wonderful beer courtesy of Rabieta while you’re at it — even if you feel you’re no good at painting, one beer may be all it takes to let all those reservations go.

21:00 hrs | Rabieta | Av. Dorrego 3501 | Palermo

WED 11.03

Food Preppin’ with Salú

With March in full force, this is the time to stop procrastinating all that food prepping you swore you’d do this year and actually get on it. No need to do it without help, let chef Pía Fendrik assist you in your endeavors. Check out her Viandas workshop at Salú for some great ideas for easy to make, delicious food you can take to work every day of the week. Don’t just take my word for it – you’ll get to try everything you cook (and pair it with some delicious wine). Reserve your ticket here.

19-22:00 hrs | Salú Club de Mesa y Cocina | Nicaragua 4880 | Palermo

Got any cool events you think we’ll love? Is there anything that you’d like to see more of? Don’t hold back! Email us at moveablefeasts@lalalista.com and let’s talk about food.
