A couple of weeks into February and while most of us are heading back to work after much needed holidays, others are still basking on la costa with the sun rays on their bellies. Here at La La Lista, we’re busy brewing up some interesting ideas for this year but as always, we’ve carved out a little time to bring some new artists into the spotlight and some off-the-wall events to keep you busy on the weekend. Acoustic sets, festivals, beatbox, indie rock, funk, you name it – we’ve got it. Without further ado, here they are:

WEDNESDAY 12

Mi Amigo Invencible continues presenting Dutsiland at Matienzo

Long-running indie giants Mi Amigo Invencible are still touring their new album Dutsiland around CABA. Dutsiland is definitely one of their most accomplished works to date, incorporating some brand-spanking-new synth sounds into their always present indie-pop sensibilities while adding a little bit of an edge to keep things spicy. Wanna taste? Check out our earlier coverage in the Monthly Music Roundups! The band will be playing at Matienzo this Wednesday and you can get your tickets here.

THURSDAY 13

Altovoltaje – Jazz Thursdays // Jazz at Morán

It’s definitely not the first time Moran has provided in the jazz department. But this time, they’re truly outdoing themselves. Alto Voltaje is a jazz supergroup where Bernardo Monk, Carlos Michelini, Ramiro Flores, and many more join forces to play a wide array of classic jazz tunes to turn Centro Cultural Moran into a proper jazz establishment. The best part is that there no stipulated entrada but you should definitely throw in a few hundies for these top-notch (jazz) musicians.

9pm | Pay what you want| Moran Cultural| Pedro Moran 2147

FRIDAY 14

Guli – FREE at Camping

GULI is an upbeat and funky musical project from CABA that combines elements of classic Indie with some R&B tinged bass lines and synth chords. Oh, and it features the incredible multi-instrumentalist Melanie Williams, who we’ve written about before in our Best Local Releases of 2019. They will be playing at Camping completely FREE! So take your Valentine and who knows? Perhaps you’ll find out you two are more than just a mere vinculo sexo-afectivo.
