Ayurveda Workshop
Ayurvedic medicine (“Ayurveda” for short) is one of the world’s oldest holistic (“whole-body”) healing systems. It was developed more than 3,000 years ago in India based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. Its main goal is to promote good health, not fight disease, though treatments may be geared toward specific health problems. They heal you through food! Isn’t that great? This workshop is a month long and it aims to teach you all about the Ayurvedic medicine benefits. You will also learn how to prepare this delicious food as well as try it in a tasting. The teacher is from India and comes from a long line of Ayurvedic doctors, so you know it’s legit. The cost of the workshop is $4400. To save your place in the workshop you need to head to Sabores y Secretos de la India in Belgrano and pay $500 in advance.

Locro and Music
May 1st is one of the many dates in which Argentinians eat “Locro”, a typical warm pumpkin stew with vegetables, legumes, beef and other meats (from many years ago). It’s special for this time of year, when it starts to get colder and we need a little pick me up in a soupy form. Nevertheless, this is one of my favorite dishes of all time. La Casa del Árbol is hosting a Locro and Music event, where you can bring your guitar or ukelele and share your art as well as eat a ton of locro. There will be vegan options! Make reservations by calling 011 15-3296-9632
