Moveable Feasts is a weekly agenda in which our food writer Tamx Rivas gives us the low-down on this week’s food fairs, workshops, and things to eat in Buenos Aires.

April is here and autumn is already making us crazy with its weird climate changes. But the hunger never ceases and we’re up to the challenge of finding the best foods in town. Eager to try something new? These are our picks of the week!

You’ll be able to find the classics (sushi, matcha-related-food, pastries) and discover new and exciting flavors from the other side of the globe (no, I’m not a flat-earther). There will even be a series of workshops (i.e. origami) and talks you can take part in. This event wasn’t organized by a 30-year-old-reddit-weaboo-who-lives-in-his-mother’s-basement group. It’s run by a group of Japanese guys, so you know it’ll be legit.

Dehydrated Food Workshop

Have you ever tried dehydrating your food? Me neither. Apparently, this process has a series of benefits, such as preserving the nutrients and enzymes of a particular ingredient as well as concentrating and enhancing its natural flavor. Organized by CRUDO, this workshop has a thorough dehydrated food agenda. You’ll learn to activate and dehydrate seeds, make crackers, nachos, instant soup, kale chips and much more! The course consists of two intensive classes, on the 11th and 12th April.

The cost of this workshop is $1750 per person, you can reserve your spot by emailing clases@crudococina.com and buy your ticket on Crudo Cocina.
