MASA Invades Banquito Rojo
Kevin Vaughn fulfills his weekly post at Banquito Rojo, where he serves his delicious, Mexican-inspired tacos, enchiladas, and soups. This week’s menu consists of 5 wrestler-inspired dishes La Furia (sausage, cheese, divorced egg, frijol sauce and red onion taco), Espíritu Negro (pork cheek, cabbage to the veneers taco bathed in beans sauce), Yokosuma (zucchini tempura taco with mango sauce, cabbage and pico de gallo), Los Enanos (kimchi, pumpkin and carrot fried tacos with a korean inspired salsa,chinese cabbage, and a black bean sour cream) and El Flamenco (pork carnitas on sourdough bread sandwich with sausage, egg, green salsa and sour cream). Elote Invites Masa
Chef Kevin Vaughn will be cooking yet another Masa Taco pop-up with his friends in Elote, a an informal latin-food restaurant. Thai Vegan Dinner
Casa Donata opens its doors to Lima for a special night of thai food served at communal tables. The menu consists of a welcome drink (lemonade infused with ginger, lemongrass and cardamom) and appetizer, a first course (fried seitan skewer in panko with satay sauce and Thai style cucumber salad), second course (Pad Thai: rice noodles, tamarind paste, soy, vegetables, crispy tofu, peanuts, lime), a dessert (dried fruits and dates base, coconut cream and lime with aquafaba meringue center and cranberry coulis), and an infusion.
