MASA Invades Banquito Rojo

Chef (And La La Lista Food Writer) Kevin Vaughn fulfills his weekly post at Banquito Rojo, where he serves his delicious, Mexican-inspired tacos, enchiladas, and soups. He’ll be cooking a stuffed chili vegetarian taco, a pork Carnitas taco, gluten-free potato and chori doradas, vegan korean enchiladas, chicken mole torta (sandwich) and churro budin with horchata cream for dessert. Armenian Cooking Class

This class centers around phyllo (filo) pastry: an essential ingredient in the Armenian cuisine, originally from Historical Armenia. It is used in both hot dishes and desserts. Learn how to use it in Pasha Bereg with eggplants and Baklava with pistachio for dessert. This is the first of six armenian cooking classes, but you can decide to go to just  this one. MASA and Elote Join Forces

Chef Kevin Vaughn will be cooking in this Masa Tacos pop-up. The menu will consist of Red Pozole (pork and mote beans in red chilli broth soup), Yokosuma (fried zucchini taco with red onion, brussel sprouts and green chili sauce), Los Gemelos Pantera (two fried eggs on tortillas with pico de gallo, sautéed peas in achiote, cheese and red chilli sauce),  Halcón Dorado (pork head taco with chipotle sauce, pico de gallo and radish), El Flamenco (marinated ham blood, fried egg, chorizo, green sauce and sour cream sandwich). Aguijón de Abeja Wine Tasting at La Malbequería

The origin of the selected grapes from Aguijón de Abeja winery come from Argentina’s most important wine regions: Cafayate in Salta, Fiambalá in Catamarca, Famatina in La Rioja, Pedernal in San Juan, Alto Valle in Río Negro and San Patricio del Chañar in Neuquén. These are all the territories that winemakers Pablo and Héctor Durigutti hand picked their selection from.
