Colombian Villanos Chefs in El Baqueano

The San Telmo molecular restaurant El Baqueano is celebratings a decade of existence with a special series of guest chefs highlighting the restaurant’s trajectory since they opened their doors, hosted by  owners Fernando Rivarola (chef) and Gabriela Lafuente (sommelier) This Wednesday the #AMEXFORFOODIES will be able to taste the dishes offered, joined by  the Argentinian Argentine chef Nicolás López and Mexican chef Sergio Meza of the restaurant Villanos en Bermudas, located in Bogotá, Colombia. Persian Cuisine Class at Fuego

Chef Nicolás Diaz Martini is the owner and instructor at Fuego. This time, he’ll share his knowledge of Persian cuisine, with a menu that includes a very spicy pumpkin, chickpea, feta cheese and pistachio soup; eggplant with chermoula and maast-o khiar (Persian yogurt); brochettes of chicken with Harissa, carrot emulsion, lemon confit and dill in coconut milk, and baked pears with orange syrup, Sumak, cardamom, and pomegranate vinegar. Two friends and chefs, El Vasco Gonzalo Bazterrica (from Ocho Once closed door restaurant) and Agustín Anavi (Ferona owner), will be celebrating Friend’s Day one week late at this beautiful beer garden in Palermo Viejo. Cooking Workshop for All Sizes in Liniers

Here is a perfect, kid-friendly activity for the Winter Holidays. A participative class of two easy and healthy recipes to do with children: vegan chipá (gluten free) and oatmeal cookies. Children under 4 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Everything is eaten as it is produced, accompanied by a rich cooked mate, as well as rounds of coconut mate and bitter mate. ¿What’s Up, Franc?

La Cava de Vittorio’s owners have selected five Cabernet Franc wines from boutique cellars (Malajunta, Kalós, Rosell Boher, Argento, Maleante). For those not in the know, Cab Franc is one of the most planted grapes in the world, and it’s lighter and more delicate than its relative Cabernet Sauvignon. Accompanying the wines will be a meat estofado with lentils and potatoes, ideal for a winter day. The main objective of the film cycle “Creando Conciencia (“Sowing Awareness”) is to create a space for the diffusion of films, documentaries and short films that address different environmental problems and their possible solutions.The film projected will be A Simpler Way: Crisis as Opportunity (Australia, 2016): a feature-length documentary that follows a community in Australia who came together to explore and demonstrate a simpler way to live in response to global crises. Euge Martín (voice and percussion) and Cristian R. Davalos (guitar) are Masalah Duo. They will be playing live folklore music at this typical Sunday lunch. The menu consists of an entry of homemade bread with bran, seeds, and carrot mayonnaise; with a choice of main dish of homemade pastas (potato, pumpkin and beet gnocchi, pumpkin and mozzarella cannelloni or spinach and ricotta cannelloni) with homemade tuco sauce (and we mean homemade) or pink sauce; and for dessert: panqueques with dulce de leche or fruit salad. Traditional Friulian Cinema and Lunch

The Sociedad Friulana Buenos Aires has organized this lunch and exhibition of the film Cence sunsûr e je lade une civiltât (The Silent Change of a Civilization, Remigio Romano, 2018). The film was produced by the Societât Filologjiche Furlane, with testimonies by David Maria Turoldo, Carlo Sgorlon, Novella Cantarutti, Elio Bartolini and Gian Paolo Gri, and demonstrates why the peasant life of Friûl is changing.
