Buenos Aires Market in Flores

The monthly market is back this weekend, this time in Flores. More than 1000 stands of organic producers, food trucks, and restaurants will be available to sample as you please. It will be suspended in case of rain.

“Viví la Patria” Fair in Caseros

To celebrate Argentina’s Independence day, the food and restaurant stands of this fair will be serving tradicional and regional dishes from all over the country. You will be able to try  locro, tamales and humitas from the north, as well as “revuelto gramajo grilled meat, and fish. For dessert, don’t miss the pastelitos, panqueques con dulce de leche or quesillo y dulce. If you’d rather take something home for later, you can also purchase local products like yerba, cheese, wines and alfajores. It will also be suspended if it rains.

Last Caminos y Sabores Day

MASA Invades Banquito Rojo

Chef (And La La Lista Food Writer) Kevin Vaughn fulfills his weekly post at Banquito Rojo, where he serves his delicious, Mexican-inspired tacos, enchiladas, and soups. He’ll cook  enfrijolado (chicken taco in black bean sauce); beef tongue with salsa verde, maiz cancha, grapefruit and queso fresco; cheese stuffed chile taco with mole, sweet red onion, fried corn, sour cream and cilantro; pork carnitas and pork belly taco with lettuce, yellow pepper salsa and sesame seeds; sweet potato taco with pickled corn, kimchi, crema and scallions; and sweet tostada with prune jam, maracuya cream and pecans.

A didactic and humorous master-class for beer lovers who want to know more about the hoppy beverage. “Harry” Salvarrey (from the radio show “Perros de la Calle”) will be sharing his practical and theoretical knowledge with attendees, who will have the opportunity to taste different varieties while learning the history, the complete brewing process and even how to differentiate between different styles of beers. Kevin Vaughn and the Anafe crew will be collaborating on an eight-course menu this Friday night at Anafe’s homey location in front of Mercado de las Pulgas.
